Ultra fine yttrium stabilized zirconia is a new type of ceramic material with excellent mechanical properties and wide applications. During the cooling process of pure ZrO2 from high temperature to room temperature, the following phase transition will occur: cubic phase (c) → tetragonal phase (t) → monoclinic phase (m). Ultra fine yttrium stabilized zirconia (ZrO2) has characteristics such as high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, wear resistance, large coefficient of thermal expansion, and low heat capacity and thermal conductivity, making it an ideal high-temperature refractory material, special ceramic material, grinding material, and high-temperature insulation material.
Ceramics sintered from ultrafine yttrium stabilized zirconia powder have become one of the main structural ceramics due to their excellent performance in phase transformation and toughening; Ultra fine yttrium stabilized zirconia has been widely used as an ideal electrolyte in solid oxide fuel cells. Stable ultrafine zirconia powder has the characteristics of good dispersibility, fine particle size, narrow particle size distribution, and low cost. Ultrafine YSZ powder with narrow particle size distribution helps to reduce the firing temperature of ceramics, improve the microstructure of ceramics, and thus improve the electrical properties of ceramics, which can fully meet the development needs of society for refractory materials and special ceramic materials.

Application scope:
1. Ultra fine yttrium stabilized zirconia can be used in high-strength, high toughness, and wear-resistant products, such as mill liners, cutting tools, drawing dies, hot extrusion molds, nozzles, valves, balls, pump parts, and various sliding components;
2. Functional ceramics, structural ceramics, especially electronic ceramics and bioceramics (such as dentures);
3. Piezoelectric components, oxygen sensitive resistors, high-capacity capacitors, solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), and oxygen sensors
4. Artificial gemstone materials and grinding materials;
5. Ultra fine yttrium stabilized zirconia can also be used in refractory materials such as electronic ceramic sintering support plates, melted glass, and metallurgical metal materials;
6. Nano ZrO2 particles modified with silane can significantly improve the flexural strength of nano ZrO2/PMMA composites at a dosage of 3.0%.
